Annie has a unique combination of experience including formal education in psychology, social work, and over a decade of professional work with companion animals in veterinary, shelter and private settings.
Annie uses positive reinforcement training methods. “When you train your dog with positive training, you unlock your dog’s learning potential by teaching him to problem solve and to control his own behavior. You build a relationship based on cooperation and trust and your dog learns to look to you for leadership".
She earned her CPDT, certification as a professional dog trainer, from the Certification Counsel of Professional Dog Trainers in March 2008 and is a graduate of the Marin Humane Society’s Canine Behavior Academy. She is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a member of the North Bay Humane Dog Trainers Network.
